Lexus flexes it's muscles for the 2008 SEMA Show With the introduction of the F marque of performance, Lexus is gearing up to show the world it’s latest line of peformance artilery with eight project cars for the 2008 SEMA Show. Last year’s show was the first time Lexus gave us a taste of their definition of performance and luxury with the indroduction of F-Sport and an array of special project cars. This year, Lexus is going to introduce 4 IS F project vehicles, a few Five Axis goodies, a tricked out LX570 as well as the F-Sport line which has been a hit with the enthusiasts.

A total of five IS F’s will be displayed at the Lexus booth at the SEMA show this year. The Five Axis IS F will return to the show to unveil Stage 2 of performance tuning. The standard 5.0L V8 has now been bored and stroked to a monster 5.8L muscle car. Five Axis will also be unveiling a new GS concept vehicle as well as a special ground effects package built for the 2009 IS "F-Sport" car.

There are four IS F projects which have been handed to familiar names like Fox Marketing/Artisan Performance, Import Tuner Magazine/Tein, 0-60 Magazine and MotorworldHype.com. They all have been given the green light to transform the already capable IS F into supercar chasers.  Some of the cars will feature unique forced induction, brake kits, suspension components, body kits and ground effects packages, agressive wheel & tire packages. It will be exciting to see what aftermarket parts will be available for the IS F in the coming months.

To break away from the traditional Lexus theme of luxury, a name synonymous with the legendary Toyota Land Cruiser FJ series, tuning and fabrication for the luxury flagship SUV, the LX570.  With the high end global status of the LX570, it will be exciting to see what Icon 4×4 has in store for this project.

The Pursuit of Perfection is what Lexus is all about. For the 2008 SEMA Show, The pursuit is now set on performance and luxury. Lexus has already set this world standard with producing fine luxury vehicles and with their showcase of cars for this year’s SEMA, they are very serious about it. The introduction of the IS F and F-Sport line is a great example of how luxury and performance co-exist seamlessly. It will be an exciting 2009 for Lexus and all of us in the enthusiast community, both in street performance and off-road categories.
