First 2013 ES Sold In The USA: Guam
It's a fact, the first ES recently sold in the United States. How is this possible when all the advertising says "Coming August 2012" you may ask? Well it's simple, the first ES was sold on a U.S. island territory deep in the Pacific!
Because of this small U.S. territory's proximity to Japan, Atkins Kroll Lexus Guam is officially the first to launch the brand new 2013 ES. They are the only Lexus dealer on the 212 square mile island as the next closest Lexus dealer is located about 3,900 miles west in Honolulu, HI. Because of Guam's geographical proximity to Japan, they are obviously the closest to receive the sixth generation ES. Not only is AK Lexus Guam the first to launch the ES, they are also the first dealer in the United States to sell a brand new 2013 Lexus ES.
This past Wednesday, Lexus Guam kicked off the ES launch in style. A special event was held at the dealer followed by an evening shindig at the Tumon Sands Plaza. Guests from all over the island were invited to partake National Manager of Lexus College, Paul Williamsen was invited to the party and had a chance to meet the very first 2013 ES owner. According to Paul, Mr. King, the newest Lexus ES owner took delivery of a brand spanking new 2013 ES 350 in Black Mica. New ES recently started production only a few weeks ago at the Toyota Motor Kyushu Miyata Plant in Japan. Mr. King is the envy of the world as he is technically the first in the world to take ownership. We congratulate Mr. King on his new arrival and welcome him to the Lexus family.
