New Updates for 2014 IS F, GS and GX Models
With 2014 coming quickly around the corner, Lexus has recently announced updates for the 2014 model year IS F, GS 350, GS 450h and the GX 460. The first 2014 model that was introduced this year is the all-new 3rd generation Lexus IS.
The updates are pretty substantial for the IS F, GS and GX models. The GS 350 gets the Aisin-built AA81E 8 speed transmission from the 2014 IS. The GS 450h gets an updated Aisin-built T-100 CVT which now features traditional gear shift like steps which mimic gearing like a traditional 8AT. The GX 460 receives a front and rear end exterior refresh with LED headlamps and foglamps, and finally the IS F which is rumored to be in it’s final year of production will get some welcome exterior and interior updates including a carbon fiber rear decklid spoiler and LED fog lamps.

- Luxury Package changes: LED foglamps, Superchrome finish for 18-inch wheels, and the rear armrest control panel display adds display option to view radio station and song title information.

- Zero to 60 in 5.6 seconds; 31 MPG combined fuel economy
- Transmission mimics eight-speed automatic for more engaging performance

- Transmission Sport mode now provides eight steps, rather than six, and also adds a kickdown switch
- Available Blind Spot Monitor adds Rear Cross Traffic Alert and power-folding mirrors
- Luxury Package changes: LED foglamps, Liquid Graphite finish for 18-inch wheels, and the radio station and song title are added to the rear armrest control panel display

- The GX 460 Premium model becomes the GX Luxury for 2014 with the addition of Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Intuitive Parking Assist and 18-inch split six-spoke design wheels with a Liquid Graphite finish.
