The current Lexus LS has been around in some form or another since 2006, and in that time, the luxury sedan has grown a little long in the tooth. According to rumors though, the next generation is right around the corner. Adding fuel to the next-gen LS fire, Lexus just released the new image above, teasing an upcoming debut at the Tokyo Motor Show.

The teaser itself is rather vague, and only shows off the new car’s headlight, which seems to be strikingly similar to those of the new NX SUV and the RC coupe. According to Lexus, though, the concept which they’ll be debuting is a study in “progressive luxury.” So there’s obviously more to it.

Other rumors on the new Lexus LS state that the car could come with a hydrogen fuel cell option. However, until Lexus debuts this new concept, all we have are rumors and guesses. The Tokyo Motor Show begins October 29th, so we’ll know plenty more then.
