Lexus Fans Unite At #ItsYourMove!
Southern California is the mecca of car culture and is the home of the largest concentration of Lexus owners and enthusiasts in the world. Last Saturday, loyal Lexus fans from all over California, the neighboring states and even Miami, FL gathered at the first ever All-Lexus Car Show, Drift Exhbition & 2014 IS Drive Event at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, CA.
The fans came out in full force with a representation of almost every model. A special Lexus owners parking lot Being that the Intelligent Sport sedan is an important enthusiast model in the Lexus line up, owners of all generations of IS came out. From the first generation IS 300 all the way to the powerhouse IS F, they were there. Even new 3rd Generation IS owners came out with some mods. All generations of GS came, including a handful of modified LS, CT and ES. All Lexus car show participants received a swag bag of rare Lexus goodies including a limited edition #ItsYourMove car show decal, an exclusive It’s Your Move license plate frame, an event lanyard and a limited edition t-shirt!
To help promote the launch of the all-new 2014 Lexus IS, Lexus hosted a grand event which included a car show, drive event and drift exhibition. To keep guests sheltered from the hot summer SoCal sun, a huge Lexus tent housed of an array of Lexus eye candy including several 2014 Lexus IS’ nicely modified by Five Axis, Pearl Yellow LFA P014 and Black LFA 032, the IS F CCS-R and the IS F CCS-P. There was also a full 2014 IS driving simulator to stimulate the minds of avid gamers.
Seeing is believing and experiencing the new IS in a controlled environment is a treat most people don’t get to do. The #ItsYourMove event featured an exclusive ride and drive experience of the all-new IS F SPORT with no long lines! Two courses were setup for the event. There was a regular drive course which included other Lexus F SPORT models and there was a second course exclusively IS F SPORT. Those with a need for speed could test their skills at the timed course where drivers with fastest lap times were treated to a ride in an IS F for an exclusive tire shredding drift session.
A strong supporter of charitable causes, Lexus teamed up with American Cancer Society to help promote awareness of this life threatening illness. Money was raised by raffling off great prizes donated by Lexus, Vossen Wheels, Vip Auto Salon, and Five Axis just to name a few! All the money raised by the raffle donations were matched 100% by Lexus. Because of Lexus’ generosity, a total of $3,000 was raised for the American Cancer Society.
The #ItsYourMove event brought out Lexus fans of young and old. Despite the short announcement time, there were 150 Lexus cars that showed with 350 registered guests in attendance. Promotion was announced exclusively via Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and forum posts. The #ItsYourMove event was a huge success for all as it was a great day to experience anything and everything Lexus.
