Leaked Photos of 2016 LX570 Show Off Noticeable Changes
For a car that’s not getting a complete overhaul, the 2016 LX570 is sure starting to generate a lot of buzz.
The latest bombshell to drop are these leaked photos that supposedly come from a scanned Lexus brochure out of Japan. The photos were then posted to the Facebook page of a dealership known as BCE Cars Abu Dhabi, along with other leaked photos of the LX570’s spirit animal, the 2016 Toyota Land Cruiser.
Both models were started way back in 2008, and both cars received a refresh in 2013. So huge changes aren’t expected for another couple of years when both models should see a complete redesign. Still, the updates are quite noticeable.
On the exterior, you’ll notice an updated spindle grill, sharper front fenders, and new D-pillar, headlights, taillights, and wheel pattern. According to Motor Authority, the interior changes “are just as dramatic, with the center stack mostly revised and a large display screen situated at the top. We’re also expecting the latest Lexus Safety System+ suite of electronic driver aids to be part of the update.”
A power plant change isn’t expected, so expect the same 5.7-liter V8 to put out roughly the same 383-horsepower and 403 pounds-feet of torque as the current model.
The new LX570 should officially debut sometime this summer; sales should be underway before year’s end.
There’s already been plenty of reaction to some previously leaked 2016 LX570 photos, so head on over to the forum to join in.
