Justin Bell and Rhys Millen Give Lexus GS F the Star Treatment
Justin Bell and Rhys Millen, the able co-hosts of Shut Up and Drive, are kicking off the new season right.
As you can see in the beautifully shot video below, our hosts got a hold of the new Lexus GS F, and they know just how to treat this star-in-the-making: with an opening scene shot at one of the most iconic film locations in Los Angeles, the Sepulveda Dam. The Dam can also be seen in action-packed gems like Iron Man, The Fast and the Furious, and The Italian Job.
If you’ll recall from Shut Up and Drive‘s previous stint in the RC F, the premise of the show is simple yet effective: take two pro sticks — Le Mans champ Justin Bell and drift car champ Rhys Millen — give them a fast car, close down a stunning stretch of road, and then see who handles it better.
In this case, the boys saunter down Sunset, head onto Mulholland, then make their way up to the Angeles National Forest in the San Gabriel mountains. It’s there they get a police escort to lock down the ever-popular, very-twisty Angeles Crest Highway, which allows them to fully realize the GS F’s wonderful driver’s feel.
It’s one thing to see such pros handle such a hot ride on such a perfect road. But you also get to hear their cogent analysis of the GS F as well. And that’s 20-minutes well spent. Enjoy!
