Lexus Announces Voluntary Safety Recall: 2006-2012 IS Models

Lexus has announced a voluntary safety recall on 2006 to early 2012 model year IS. The issue involves the wiper arms and a loose mounting nut on the assembly. A build up of snow or a heavy load can impede the movement of one or both wiper arms and cause the assembly to be inoperable.

There is no need to be alarmed as this is not a mandatory recall. Owners of the affected IS models will be sent a notification letter from Lexus by first class mail.

More information on the voluntary safety recall can be found on Toyota’s Website HERE.
