Hot or Not? Color Matched Grill on 2014 Lexus IS

I got this photo from Sewell Lexus of Dallas, who had it posted for their "Tricked Out Tuesday" series. It's kind of a crappy pic, but I think you can at least see the grill well enough to decide whether or not you like the color-matched treatment.

Personally? I don't. The spindle grill looks sick on all the new models, and I think this painting it takes away from the front clip's aggressive attitude. And while I'm not trying to hate, I don't particularity like the 20" Vossen wheels either. If I had a choice I'd take the F Sport set over these.

But you know what they say about opinions. Let me know what you think in the comments!

Thomas Barber (Thu, 10 Oct 2013 10:49:31 -0700): I like the grill, but not the wheels. Gigantic wheels just look ridiculous. The stock grill, even the more conservative one that you get on the non-F-Sport model, looks a little too ostentatious, and is toned down by painting it the same color as the car. In order for either grill to not have a garish appearance, the car color has to be dark. This is especially true for the F-Sport grill, which looks awful on the white car and only really looks good on the three dark colors (obsidian, deep sea mica, and nebula gray).
