While many things in this world are greatly improved by vibrations, your Lexus is not one of them. So for today’s How-To Tuesday topic, we’re going to discuss how to figure out where those bad vibrations are coming from.

As always, this week’s article comes straight from Club Lexus‘s “How-Tos” section. For today, we’re going to be looking specifically at Lexus IS, ES, GS, and RX models, between 2005-2014. But the advice in the article should be helpful for anyone feeling a little bit shaky about their ride.

In the article, Pizzaman711 reminds us that “unnatural vibrations are almost always a sign of a mechanical issue.” And yes, Pizzaman can differentiate between the rumblings in his stomach and the rumblings in your Lexus.

Pizzaman goes on to show you how to locate the source of your vibration, as there could be many culprits. His article does an excellent job of narrowing down the most likely suspect. It may take you a couple of hours to figure out that you need further help, but at least you’ll have a pretty good idea of what you’re going in the shop for. That’s a good place to start a conversation with a mechanic.

And all you really need is a socket set and this article.

So go get to it. And pretty soon you’ll be back up to speed, cruising down the road in your Lexus, grooving to the complex harmonies of the Beach Boys’ Good Vibrations.
