Getting Artsy with the 2017 Lexus RC F (Photos)
CLUB LEXUS EXCLUSIVE: Our resident photographer captures gorgeous, red-hot shots of Infrared 2017 Lexus RC F.
It only takes the Lexus RC F 4.4 seconds to reach 60 mph from a standstill, but not all of its beauty is associated with speed. In fact, it is equally tantalizing when motionless. It was only then, and in the cover of darkness, that some of its most beautiful attributes came to life.
We recently had the opportunity to spend time with newest version of the hyped-up RC luxury sport coupe, the 2017 Lexus RC F. This particular vehicle came in a gorgeous “Infrared” paint color, which was a very welcomed departure from the popular “Molten Pearl” Lexus typically chooses for their more hardcore press vehicles.
At the heart of the Lexus RC F lies a 5.0-liter V8, which, given the current turbo revolution, will most likely be the last of its kind. But as mentioned earlier, there’s more to this beautiful beast than 467 horsepower and an unquenched thirst to turn rubber into smoke. First and foremost, there’s its striking design.

In an era when most coupe and sedan designs look and feel somewhat recycled, the RC F brings a dramatic look to the segment. Hard corners and oversized elements adorn all four corners of the vehicle, with the design cornerstones being the massive grille and sculpted wheel arches in the front and back. Because this particular vehicle was equipped with a $5,500 performance package, it also included a carbon fiber roof, retractable spoiler and torque-vectoring rear differential.
Surely we had a blast behind the wheel of the 2017 Lexus RC F, as you can read in Club Lexus‘ most recent review. But, we also had a blast watching it being bathed in artificial LED lighting on a chilly Midwestern night.
