If fishing yielded this kind of result more often, I would probably fish more often.

It appears there’s something in the water out there in Utah, because Weber Basin canal employees pulled out quite a catch on Monday. According to KSL.com, canal employees were cleaning debris from the Weber River when they discovered a Lexus that was “almost completely submerged.”

The Lexus, which appears to be a GS, was reported stolen out of Ogden on Sunday. Police believe the car was dumped in the river about a hundred yards east of where it ended up.

Due to heavy storms over the weekend, crews had to open the flood gates in order to lower the river by four to five feet. After the river was lowered, the crew used a crane to fish the car out in about an hour. “Nothing of significance” was found inside the car, according to Weber County Sheriff’s Lt. Lane Findlay.

Anyone with information about the crime can call the Weber County Sheriff’s office at 801-629-8221. And anyone who knows what kind of bait one uses to catch a Lexus, please let me know in the forum!
