California Speedway Weekend with Lexus, Team Lexus, ClubLexus and IS300.NET
| It is that time again on October 29 – 31st weekend at California Speedway. Chuck Goldsboro and the Team Lexus crew are coming back to Southern California’s Inland Empire, California Speedway in Fontana. Team Lexus will be competing in the ST (Sport Touring) class for the series finale of “The Lexus Grand-Am Cup”. The winning Team Lexus’ IS 300’s will be competing with cars such as the BMW Z4 and 328, Acura RSX, Mazda RX-8, Mini Cooper and Porsche Boxster. |
The race to see Team Lexus in action will be the Sunday, October 31st race, properly named “The Lexus Grand American 250”. Also a must see is the Rolex Cup Series GT (Grand Touring) class which in the Daytona Prototype class of the Rolex Sports Car Series with several Lexus-powered teams, including two cars owned by Chip Ganassi Racing driven by Max Papis, Scott Pruett, Jimmy Morales and Luis Diaz. Lexus is stepping up its presence in the motorsports industry. It is definitely a tell tale sign of what is to come in future research and development.
With the generosity of Lexus, a handful of ClubLexus and IS300.NET members were invited to experience the Lexus Grand-Am Champions Weekend. This includes admission, parking in the infield, garage pass and an exclusive view of the race in the hospitality suites just above pit lane. This will be ClubLexus’ third visit to spectate and interact with Team Lexus, Lexus executives and all different types of racing fans at California Speedway. The invited ClubLexus members will be able to drive their Lexus’ on the front stretch and infield course, just like the competition vehicles themselves. This will be a second and third opportunity for those members that have joined us in the past!
