Can you believe it’s been over a year since the ceremonious reveal of the Lexus NX at the Beijing International Automotive Exhibition?

In that time, Lexus’s compact luxury crossover has racked up impressive sales numbers, which have helped Lexus to its best fiscal start ever. With all those sales, you new owners have found out all sorts of cool things about the NX, all those little doo-dads you’ve discovered along the way, all those things that made you say, “oh, that’s cool.”

Well, a while back, Club Lexus member corradoMR2 had the brilliant idea to start tracking those “aha” moments. So he invited all new NX owners to share their “Interesting Discoveries”. And because CorradoMR2 is fair and balanced, he also invited folks to share their bad discoveries (though there are far fewer of those posted.)

So far the thread is up to 17 pages, and it’s full of cool stuff you wouldn’t know about the NX unless you drove one. Here’s some of the coolest we found, but trust us, there’s many more interesting discoveries in the thread.

“There is a Mark Levinson system for the NX, that along with the ML system in the RC, has ‘Clari-Fi’, which improves MP3 quality playback. The ML system isn’t offered on US NXs though.” — Nights

“NX has a really deep and large nicely finished (felt-lined) glovebox. Easily fit the thick manual set, a laptop, and a kleenex box. New NX Inspires 'Interesting Discoveries' — corradoMR2

“Another really interesting feature that I found was the Fog lamps on the F sports, they brighten up when you turn your wheel, and when you put your signal lights on!” — Waymok

“One nice thing I noticed. There is a nice soft carpet/felt material that lines the inside of the inner door handles. While not technically needed, it really shows off the attention to detail.” — DenM54

“For non-navigation package, if you use iphone GPS via blue tooth, the voice instructions come in as an incoming phone call.. interesting. I like how some siri features work.. I use it more than the built in voice command.” — winst0n

“Has anyone mentioned how awesome the touch sensitive lights are? No buttons to push, just touch the light fixture and it magically lights up. Also, the airbag below the steering wheel at knee level!” — 1811Lexus
