Another View: F SPORT PARTS (TRD) 2014 Lexus IS
New photos of the F SPORT PARTS (TRD) kit for the upcoming 2014 Lexus IS have surfaced. This time they are live photos of an Ultra White 2014 IS 250 F SPORT taken at a Japanese Lexus dealership. Since black makes vehicles look menacing in photos, it also hide accents and body lines that can change the look of the vehicle dramatically.
As you can see, Ultra White reveals a lot more things about the TRD kit than one can expect. Check out the details:
Lower front spoilers with the adhesive moulding protector. Note it has LED fog lamps:
Cleanly shaped side skirts compliment the soft “sweep up” body line. Continued use of the moulding protectors apply:
Body colored rear valence is integrated with contrasting rear aero diffuser:
The plain textured factory rear valence is replaced with a shapely rear valence, carved around the dual tipped exhaust:

Chief Engineer Furuyama-san originally designed the new IS without a rear spoiler. Now the TRD kit offers a sculpted body colored spoiler:

One can say the new “TRD” kit for the 2014 IS F SPORT is very aggressive and may be a bit polarizing, especially in the rear end. I think if the center lower section was left black or the body colors were on different parts of the kit, it would be a little bit more acceptable.
