Akio Toyoda and Lexus Engineers Crash Cars & Coffee Event
Coffee and cars, that magical combination, has gone ahead and produced a little more magic.
Imagine showing up to your local Cars & Coffee event, like you do. You’re just hanging around, talking horsepower with some fellow enthusiasts, sipping some fairly traded exotic dark roast, and all of the sudden, in walks Akio Toyoda, president and CEO of Toyota Motor Corporation.
Well, that’s what happened at The Morning Cruise, a semi-regular Coffee & Cars event that takes place at a bookstore in Tokyo, as reported by the good folks at Lexus Enthusiast.
But it wasn’t just Toyota’s big cheese who crashed the event, a host of Lexus’s chief engineers showed up too. The development engineers showed off the latest sports vehicles and told the collected enthusiasts stories about creating such beasts as the LFA and the RC F. Now that’s who I want to talk to at the car show, the guy who made the thing I’m gawking at.
Judging from the pictures, it appears that everyone ate it up. Even the big boss man himself. Toyoda appears to be having the time of his life. He even brought his camera to capture the entire experience. Can you imagine Dr. Dieter Zetsche enjoying himself quite as much as Toyoda appears to be? Probably not.
