The 2017 Lexus TX, the brand’s 7-seater variant of the new RX, has been captured testing on public roads.
This is Lexus’s first entry into the 3-row crossover market, and it’s surely good news for local dealers as they’ve watched their luxury rivals continue to move unit after unit of these larger SUVs.
The TX will be borrowing heavily from the RX, albeit with a more upright roofline and longer proportions to accommodate the extra seating arrangement.
Powertrain options will also mirror the RX with a 3.5-liter V6 and hybrid offerings.
Look for the Lexus TX on the auto show circuit beginning early next year with an expected street date of Fall 2016.
